First off I think I was kind of out of it after hearing some not so good news about Reaves teeth, and that was on my mind when I woke up. I guess I was a little grouchy and that lead to some heated discussion, heated up by me.
Yes, I know the first two paragraphs happen to some people everyday and its really not exciting and bad day status for some. But here is wear it gets really bad and embarrassing to say the least.
The car was dinging on E so I pulled into the gas station to fill up. I started the pump and decided to grab something to drink, so I went into the store. Grabbed my items, paid for them and headed back out to the car.
Now, remember the heated discussions from earlier? Well they were still going on via texting, so I was a little preoccupied. I jumped in the front seat, put the car in drive, (yes I left it running at the pump) and drove off. All the sudden I hear some crashing, clinging noise and thought I hit another car. After looking around to see what I crashed into or ran over and seeing nothing, I look down and saw the fuel nozzle hanging out of the tank! OOOOPS!! (Yes, that is an out of order sign on the pumps)
I know, retarded huh? Now let me tell you, right then every blond stupid joke flashed before my eyes and I felt like the dumb blonde at that moment. That had to be one of the stupidest things I have ever done!
Now right then any normal person would have just drove home, took a swig of Nyquil, turned on Matlock, pulled the covers over their head and tried it again the next day. Even the spiritual ones would have recognized something odd and pulled over and prayed. Not me, I did neither!
I went onto work, a few miscellaneous things happened throughout the day. After lunch I went to check out a new room we had been working on. The maintenance man had taken the doorknob off the door to fix the lock, but the inners were still in the door. I pulled the door shut, and viola, I was stuck! Yes, I was locked inside the room w/ no cell phone or way out.
I did eventually catch a passerby, by hollering threw the doorknob hole and they helped me out.
At the times of these events I was pretty upset, but now that I look back on them, I laugh out loud to myself. Looking back, yesterday was probably one the funniest days I have ever had. I didn’t even tell my boys until this morning because of the embarrassment of driving off w/ the nozzle.
That afternoon I did recognize what was going on, prayed about it, and that evening had one of the best Fusion group discussions we have ever had.
I guess I needed a good laugh, so yesterday, God gave me one!
Ok, here is where you guys come in. Post up and tell me one of the stupidest/funniest things you have ever done. Go to the bottom of this post, click comment and post away.
